Perona Farms History -
Emil Perona career began in the kitchen of a London hotel at the age of 14, progressed to vaudeville stages all over the world, and eventually settled down with the purchase of a 260 acre dairy farm in Andover Township, where he hoped to lead the quiet life of a dairy farmer.
Emil’s finances couldn’t keep up with the appetites of his eleven cows, so in addition to his own theatrical friends visiting him, his brother, John, who owned the famous El Morocco restaurant in Manhattan sent many of his patrons to the country for some rest, relaxation and Mother Perona’s homecooking, too.
Soon Perona’s grew in fame along with its clientele. Eventually it out grew the old farm house and soon became a restaurant which expanded in 1965, and again in 1974.  Today, Perona’s family traditions of excellence continue, where creating an atmosphere with fine food and service is their constant endeavor.
Ps. Perona farms is known for their famous smoked salmon and grows many ingredients from their very own gardens.
